Exclamation Yaris Abbreviation??????

Hello!!!

Can someone tell me what kind of model is a Yaris 2006 3 Door Hatch?

Im talking about the abbreviation or the short form to call the car. Is because some internet sites call them in the shot name.
I know that one of them are called RS, but I dont know what it means. Some other are named YSX, YHX Whatmeans that? .Is my Yaris a RS or What? Thanks for help.

BTW, My Yaris is the cheaper one.

Those abbreviations are just designations for the different trim levels given a certain model, in this case the Yaris. I couldn't tell you what some of them mean but don't they sound pretty important? That's pretty much what they mean or are there for, to differentiate the options given certain models of one car, if that makes sense???

It depends on the country.

Japan and Canada have standard and RS versions, while Australia from what i see has YRS, YRX versions... Here in Thailand we have versions E, E limited, G, G limited, S and S limited

Couldn't Toyota agree on a single naming convention???

I believe the 90 is the 1.3L engine.
THe Yaris/2nd gen.Vitz is NCPxx depending on the engine.

Here's the skinny according to my Vitz bible:
NCP91 = 1500cc/FF
SCP90 = 1300cc/FF
NCP95 = 1300cc/4WD
KSP90 = 1000cc/FF

Good question. I don't know.

If they are, then the codes that I listed would be for the 5door since they don't sell the 3door in Japan AFAIK.

You have a Yaris CE.

The Hatch back comes in the CE/LE or RS

The cheapest is the 3 door CE
Then the more costly 3 door RS

Then the 5 door LE
Then the most costly 5door RS

(you can't buy a 3 door LE or 5 door CE)
