Dirty Speedometer

I need to clean my Speedometer from the inside....I cant seem to open the two long panel's on the sides can some one help me?

well found ure problem!! lol, your steering wheel is on the wrong side!! GET THAT FIXED!!

lol, joking.

seriously, it will take like 30 seconds to get to it, the tricky part will be getting inside the cluster itself.

the 2 long sections need to come off first. jsut pull from the bottom sides (one at a time) and pop the clips off one by one all the way up. do it on both sides. and the big round part on top can come out now too, seriously, jsut find somewhere to fit your hands and pull. lol. the cluster will come out with 2 screws on the bottom and the glass (well its plexiglass) will come out with a shit load of clips. be careful and take ure time.

i suggest before u put it back in, study how the clips work and how the round part goes back on, its a bit tricky. hope this helps.

2010rs: actually no.. the trim comes off first, before you can remove the 2 long strips. and prior removing the 2 long strips, you have to remove the U shaped strip at the bottom of the HVAC dials.
