I use CASTROL EDGE 0W-30 (full synthetic motor oil) and change it every 15,000 km. Never need to refill in 35.000 km. After 10 min warming up I pushed it to his limits quite often.

I use the recomendet oil 0w20. I have 58k and my car is using like 1l of oil in 3-5k km. I think is very normal for this type of oil. I must mention that is doing this from 0 to 58k so relax.
With 0w30 is normal to not to be needed to refill. |

No probs here. Drive it like its stolen. Having said that, at 458km (about 300 miles) engine stopped - all the inlet valve train had collapsed - some bits found in sump. Dealer said 5th of the 1.8 in yaris / corolla he had seen. Now very noisey on startup - sounds like a Honda vtec!!!
One thing I noticed - engine seemed to go better at about 10,000 km. Could there be an electronic limiter that resets? |
