Pilot looses wing in flight. Real!

No, it's not that fake ad that's been around for a while. This time it happened for real!

It had nothing to do with maintenance.

Aircraft wings (including aerobatic aircraft) are designed to withstand higher G forces when flying upright than when flying inverted.

If you noticed, the wing snapped off when the aircraft was flying inverted.
The aircraft was pulling very high G forces when inverted and appeard to exceed the aircraft's limit. BTW I belive the aircrft wasa kit built aifcraft.

BTW, these wing faiilures are absolutely horrible!

I saw a clip of a pilot that landed with only one wing. If I find it I'll post it.

That's the fake video that was made for an advertisment that I refered to in my OP. It's just a well made editing of a RC model and a full size aircraft. This has been well documented.

Wow, I'll say... I've never seen one in use, it workes as advertised.

Now, if they could only build chutes big enough for airliners...!
