HELP!!! I washed my car using one of those token operated self serve car washes and after I was done I noticed a million visible scratches!!!Some deep enough to feel with my fingernail. The car wash "soft" soap brush did a number on my new car!!! Can anyone recommend a good car scratch remover??? The scratches are only on the top coated paint protection so they are all white and visible. Last edited by Shelley; 01-25-2007 at 06:18 PM. |

I would not take any of my vehicles to ANY automatic car washes, Touchless or not! Never since my first car have I trusted them. I got my liftback down to a science at the local 'do it yourself wash', $2.00 and that's with the worthless "spotfree rinse", Hell you can stand on one side in the middle and spray it from front to back without moving!

go to properautocare.com, read up and change all your car care habits. Buy a PC random orbital buffer, and some good Klasse, Menzerna, Poor Boys, 3M etc products and your car will look better than new.

Take it to a professional. Now is not the time to learn how to repair fine scratches.

You need to go through a detail car detailing process to get most of all the fine scratches disapear, The Mequiar's Deep Crystal System, read the post and make sure you watch the 3 viedos on the link, take notes and write stuffs down, the products to get and all the steps you should follow to fix your car's finish, its goona take about 2 hrs if you do it right, get the right stuff, your car will look like it just got out of factory again, i scartched my car too at first with a rough dry towel, then i did research and i took notes, , get the right products, and follow the steps from the videos, finally i bring my car's perfect finish back, good luck. http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...0599#post50599
