you can sell a lease to someone as well.
i'm not sure how it works, but do an online search and it might turn up something.

Go to leasetrader.com
You may have to give an incentive, but you will probably be able to get rid of it that way.

Oooooooo, BUSTED!

One question: you LEASED a Yaris? What the hell? The dealer must have laughed for at least a week! What is it, $50 a month???

999 times out of 1,000 it is very foolish to lease a car...stupid actually, unless one owns a business and can write it off. Why anyone leases is beyond me, because if you do the math, and if there's no tax advantages, it is stupid, stupid, stupid.

At the time of start, all people see is the very low monthly payment, but ignore the very low alloted miles per year, and then after the lease is done, no equity baby! Oh, and did I say no tax advantages for non-biz owners too?

Sorry, but it's true.

A husband that blames his wife for the need to get rid of his car is ah....nevermind...we all know. lol

Getting out of a lease so fast is going to cost....plebs and their financial silliness, to be sure.

As for so called low milage....my Yaris gets BETTER MPG then advertized because I know how to drive it for high MPG...so either the driver is foolish with his driving habits or the car is faulty....if fault, the warranty can mitigate this....I get 44.5 on average 40% city, 60% highway driving.

Sometimes in life, it is better to roll with what you have than go with what you want.

You'll end up losing your ass trying to escape from your lease. How much money are you willing to eat to be rid of your Yaris? $1000? $2000? If I were you I'd stick it out.

sometimes a lease can be advantageous, my own scenario for example. I owed a LOT left on my truck and I was spending 300$+ per month on parts alone, plus 16 MPG gas at 80L tank. To purchase would have put me in line for food stamps but a lease cost less per month than my truck's purchase financing. This way here I can ride out my debt and when the lease is up I can just hand them the keys and move on to purchase something. Is that so dumb?

If you drive less than 15,000 miles per year, you want a new car every two years, and you've done a lot of research (you know exactly how leases work) then it's perfectly ok to negotiate a deal for a 24 month lease. NO longer than 24 months though.
