Need a 1nzfe to build!
I'm looking for a new motor I can open up and rebuild to handle 14psi then swap into my car when it's ready. Anyone know of someone selling one? Or anyone know any good places to buy one cheap where the shipping isn't almost as much as the motor? Hoping to hear of reputable places that people have had good success buying from.

I checked eBay but the lowest I see is around $600 after shipping. I was hoping to find a sweet deal and get one for $400-500 so I can stay on budget buying the pistons, rods, labor etc.

Have YOU checked local places around you? An engine isn't something Joe Blow is going to pop in a box and send UPS for $25. You have to realize this and factor in the cost of shipping if you aren't looking locally.

Yea any money for the build saved means I can do more with it sooner. I was, as stated, just looking for hopefully a reputable site that sold used engines for fairly cheap around $500 (wishfully thinking $400) I see people sell these engines for $250 locally (locally for another location, not me because I've checked) so if they can go for that low then $150-200 shipping would bring it perfectly in my price range. I know obviously it has to be crated and shipping gets pricey but shipping costs isn't what is deterring me. What I said was the costs after shipping total out higher than what I'm looking for so I don't care what it costs to ship, that's not my problem.

the next question for me is what engine is interchangable when it comes to the 1nzfe. is it all the same whether it came from an echo or xb or xa or whatever except for things like throttle bodies and what not? all of the well priced engines are from other cars like an xb but I dont know whether or not something is different enough to where I can't take a 1nzfe from one of those vehicles.

just peripheral stuff. crank pulley, throttle body, intake manifold, etc. block and head are the same.

^Awesome, good to know. Then I guess at that point I'm ok to look at any 1nzfe, no matter what it came out of. That helps make it easier to pick up a cheap one
