2011 sedan with static thru stereo
I have been getting bad static on my stock stereo while listening to the radio and unbearable static on the radio with the rear defrost turned on. I think that the antenna cable may be coming loose. I need some help figuing how to remove the stereo to check the antenna. Please help.

It may be the antenna coming loose or it may be that the condenser for the radio has gone bad. The condenser is a capacitor that is mounted in a black plastic box and is mounted under the C pillar cover on the driver's side.
To start with, to check the antenna, simply pull the vertical trim pieces off on the sides of the radio (just gen your fingers under the bottom). Once those are off, if you have the integrated sedan radio, then you will remove the mounting screws that are under the vertical trim pieces and then the radio will be free. If you do not, pull the radio trim and speedometer trim back as one unit (being careful to not break the tabs that connect the two).
