Cold air intake (2010 Yaris LE Hatchback 5 Door)

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for any advice on a cold air intake system for my vehicle. I've been looking on ebay and the prices vary anywhere from $50-$200. Not sure as what is the difference and what I should be looking for. (As seen here [1] and here [2]

I'm also not sure if this vehicle has a mass airflow sensor that I should be worried about when I do get to changing it.

Edit: I put 5 door which includes the trunk. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Price can be largely driven by the quality of the filter and aluminum used in the product. The really cheap ones have a filter that typically isn't worth a shit.

Yes you do have a MAF. It is on the air tube leading from your airbox to the throttle body.

Buy this one http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49834. Toss in shipping costs and you still cannot beat the price. Quality product from a trusted name.

Bah, someone snagged it already :/

Would you recommend the Weapon-R Dragon Air Intake that I posted earlier?

No, it had not been snagged. However there is now another member showing interest in it.

I bought the AFE intake from garm (microimageonline.com) and have been very happy with my purchase. I would definitely recommend his business to anyone.

I will say that I bought a CAI from ebay first. The fittings were the wrong size, the filter was crap, and the welding for the MAF sensor was horrible. I could see bits of metal on the inside of the tube that I was sure would trash my engine. Sadly, you really do get what you pay for. I still have it.... somewhere.

I'll consider purchasing it from here. Only problem being that it's on back-order. I'm only about a 1.5 hour drive from Niagara border where I can pick this up without having to pay any shipping and duties.

Micro Image forums, online store and shop are now closed. It was a great eight year run, but it was time to focus on other things. I'm still selling parts on eBay under micro*image seller ID and customers can still make requests for anything specific.
