New (To me) W/28k Miles on it.
Well kind of got forced into buying a new car as my old '04 Cavalier ran it's last mile.
I've been eyeing the Yaris' for a couple of years (when they had the speedo in the middle) and thought they were pretty cool. I finally decided since my car broke down to get myself a 2014 Yaris 5-dr LS. I'll post pics later as it's night time and it's been a busy day. Was wondering if there are any tips and pointers you all would have on the Yaris :-P Some things I have been looking for mainly atm is weather guards, change the oddly placed air intake and see if there is any performance mods that would help with hp/gas milage. Also any idea of why there is really bad road noise by the passenger side window where the vent intake is. Only way to drown it out is with music (which I am pleased how well these speakers are for stock) |

Some of them depend on how many miles it has on it. Being a 2014, it's likely low, and in that case, I'd vote for the following: k&n air filter, Mobile 1 or better full synthetic with an awesome oil filter, check your engine for points of high resistence - particularly the throttle body (to see if further grounding is needed), and make sure your tires are good tires (I just installed Pirelli P4's in place of Yokohama Avid Touring S on stock steel wheels, and they are so much better in handling, and they are comparably very quiet.)
I haven't done it yet, but my research has indicated a rear sway bar seemingly cures much of the body role, and installing better struts and coils will help to keep you planted better with a more responsive ride. My 2¢ |

. Is your Yaris an L or an LE ? (LS isn't a Yaris designation in the U.S.)

Also is there a good site to go to for parts? Ebay/amazon are finicky for me when I want to get parts for a car. And last for now, is there a good place for shifter knobs? It's a automatic but i noticed first day it just screws off/on. |

Best site for parts. He was the first to really start importing and selling Yaris parts, and they are good people to deal with.
