K&N Performance Air Filter Problem
Hello all! I recently bought a K&N Performance Air Filter and it seems it doesn't fit into the air cabin(or the box thingy), it's too long. I was on autozone's website and it said that it was a "perfect fit." Am I doing it wrong?

Source: http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/kn-vs-oem-filter.html There are other less direct reports and plenty of car clubs where people have used aftermarket filters then found their MPG dropping noticeably. I discovered this after taking my induction system apart on an old MR2 and finding it filthy inside. The OEM filter keeps it pristine. Personally I'd take it back and call it a near miss. :) |

Yeah, turned out Auto Zone was wrong(obviously). I ended up getting the stock air filter for $12. Thanks for the advice all! |
