HELP!! shifter bushings seized to trans side
I'm replacing the shifter bushing on my car and the bronze center of the old rubber ones is seized to the steel mounting points on the transmission. Has anyone come accross this and how do I get them off? Please help as car is now useless till I replace them. Going to try cutting them off but nervous about damaging plate.

I'd try some PB blaster or other corrosion breaker. Probably best not to use a torch on that rubber. =)
