Seat Swap
Has anyone swapped the Yaris front seats for another OEM seat? Eg. celica, miata, etc. I have searched and found many talking about it but no proof of it being done.

I have found mk5 gti seats, 7th gen celica seats, and NA miata seats locally on CL. Would any of these be a direct bolt in?

A better question would be what seats from other cars fit with the least amount of fabrication

The only one I know will fit without modification is the Scion xD. If you have a 3DR, you will lose the passenger rear access lever since the xD was only available in 5DR.

Seat Swap
Same with the OP, I'd like to know if a 2017 5dr HB SE luxury driver's seat could be fitted into my 2007 3dr HB ? The luxury seat is so comfy that it would do a lot of good to my bum on long 5-10 hours drives.

airbag seat computer
There's also a dedicated airbag-passenger-seat cybertron hard wired in the Yaris computer network you might not want to disturb.
Not so much wiring bundle to driver seat...hal thinks that when the car is driving along there is probably an adult sized human in the driver's seat. Last edited by dogsridewith; 02-05-2017 at 12:04 PM. |

This discussion opens up the question of whether or not anyone has fitted aftermarket Recaros. Any Recaro users out there?

Wedge racing makes VERY affordable brackets to fit ANY seat to ANY car. You just have to fill out the form when you order. I put EVO 9 seats in my 1984 Celica, if that gives you an idea what they can do. Celica GTS seats do not fit in a Yaris 2-3 of the bolts do not line up.
I have a 2014 Yaris and I am trying to fit Recaro Speed seats in but the shoulder bolsters are too wide and they hit the B pillar. Something to think about, measure measure measure I would go with the Celica seats plus the wedge brackets. the seat width is on point and the colors will match yaris interior. Following. Was looking at seats out of either a FR-S or a TC. Only thing that got me thinking is that there are two airbag plugs under the drivers side...

Seat Swap
I successfully did swap my driver seat for a 2007 VW Rabbit one last weekend, wiring and all.
I have the passenger seat of the Rabbit for sale if anyone wants it. Could fit on driver side too. Passenger seat for sale : http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58092 Last edited by David C; 03-27-2017 at 02:40 PM. |

Does anyone know if Corolla or Prius seats would fit? Is the seat airbag harness much different from these variants compared to the Yaris? Would love to keep the seat airbag option as I really appreciate the added safety that comes with it. |

the bolster on tc seats stick out more for that sport look. but idk if it would stick out too much and hit the sides of the car
