Question for tall people
Well I've been researching a lot on the yaris liftback and despite the criticisms about power with speed, etc, I'm falling in love with this car. Just love the design! I was happy with my dodge neon but it just has too many check engine lot problems for a 2000 model with 60k miles...i just do city driving but this just shows me how crappy american cars are made, so it's time for something new! Anyways...one thing that I can't seem to get good information on is room for taller drivers. I'm 6'1, and I really really want my yaris, but i also remember when i was in love with the tercel and when I test drove it i was a little cramped in the front (but i told my parents it felt ok cuz i wanted it lol...but dealer was difficult, so didn't get it). So if anyone over 6ft can comment on this it'd be much appreciated =)

I'm 6'3 and I have plenty of room. I drive a sedan, but I have heard people say the hatchback feels like it has more room.

I'm 6', and pretty broad, and there's LOTS of room. (Hatchback btw). With my front seats in a comfortable position, there's enough leg room that I can easily sit in the back seats too... not 3 across though. But four of me could fit in that car.

I'm 6'2" and have plenty of room in the Liftback; I've been in the sedan and it seemed smaller so definitely get the Liftback, just move the seat all the way back; I can also sit in the back seat with no problem; go for it !

I am 6' 4" and drive the LB and I have pleny of head room and shoulder width room. The only thing that is a little bad is knee room under the steering wheel. If I have my foot on the break if I try to slide it over to the gas it will hit the bottom of the steering wheel. But its not a really big deal, infact I am already over it. But other than that there is lots of room. Hope this helps.

6'-4" LB driver here - like falkor stated above, knee room is a bit of an issue. if the seat slid back just 1-2" more it would be near perfect for me. my lb came with cruise control, and I'm constanly bumping the stalk since, it had to be installed low on the column where you can see it. head and shoulder room are great though.

The hatch has more head room than the sedan. Not by much but still significant

interesting post cause im 6'5 and i love my yaris but, if i were to buy aftermarket seats would it make the seating lower? cause i can deal with the knee thing but wanna drive a little more comfortable.....
and on that note....u guys think toyota would add seat height adjustment for upcoming yaris? |

Most likely no (IMO). The only reason I say that is added cost to buyer consideration. I believe that is why something as basic as anti lock brakes are missing on base model.

A telescopic-adjustable steering wheel would be far more useful than height adjustable seats!
