2007 Yaris Integrated to Double DIN. What do I need?
I have a 2007 Yaris Sedan that came with the integrated radio. I want to remove that and upgrade to a double din unit, probably some Android Auto Pioneer unit or something.
I know I need the dash trim kit for the double din opening, and possibly spacer kit. Wire harnesses etc. What I'm wondering really is what do I need in order to mount the aftermarket radio into the opening? I have found single din kits that appear to replace the factory double din, but no bracket to go from the integrated to double din aftermarket. Is the bracket already there and attached to the factory radio? Thanks in advance. Wife just got a 4Runner and now I'm super jealous and want to upgrade at least my stereo. |

You need the non-integrated bezel piece. Part# 55405-52640.
Search here using that part# and you will find threads were swap was performed. Sent from my Elite_5_5_Octa using Tapatalk

I replaced my radio in my 07 when I bought it, but that was 4 years ago. I should look for a tutorial as there was one with pictures. Maybe I just printed one out from here. I believe the stock radio does have brackets along the side to mount the new radio. I replaced it with a double din though. I even removed a lot of the dash to run the wire for the microphone under the steering wheel.

I found this. Looks like you might need a bracket that should come with the stereo. There are 4 videos in the series:

FWIW I just replaced mine this weekend with a double din JVC unit, it was shockingly easy to reuse the factory brackets. I got a bit hung up on the install as there were three connections in the old stereo and only two connections to the new unit. I have to assume they were for the CD player as I installed a unit sans CD player it didn’t seem to matter. I have 100% functionality and all seems to work. Good luck
