What are your thoughts about SiCKO?

just whoa...no wonder my dad doesn't want to work in USA...he works in Africa but gets paid in euros without tax PLUS we (family) get full international medical plan for free until he retires I think.

any1 likes that movie?

Watched half of it the other night... don't know if I want to watch the rest. Sad and depressing, more so since we've been there, done that. Healthcare in America just plain sucks!

i havent' seen sicko yet, but definitely plan on watching it, some of it was filmed here in my hometown of london, ontario.
i usually take michael moore with a grain of salt, while i find myself almost always agreeing with his stance, i don't like his methods of steering interviews and creative editing. he's like the left-wing version of fox news, all spin without providing both sides of the argument.

as far as healthcare, no system is perfect, but the thing i find incredible about the u.s. healthcare system is people who have insurance but find they are not covered for certain things. wtf is up with that? any kind of insurance is a rip-off, but this is ridiculous, we're talking about a person's health, not damage to a car or house.
has anyone had any personal experience with this?

i will watch with a critical eye, but i think moore probably has some excellent points here.

I refuse to watch his crap.

I already know health care is a total ripoff, so he's not telling me anything new. The Cuban care center he supposedly tours is a joke... it's a show facility designed to glorify Communism to the rest of the world. You can bet your hiney the vast majority of low income Cubans never see the inside of it.

well considering cuba's international rankings is only two below the united states, i think you might be wrong.

so i would bet my hiney that healthcare in cuba is not as bad as some in the u.s. would paint it.
