Ehh, TRD is great and all, but $330 for an intake? Most of that cost is the warranty.
Injen makes a GREAT intake, and their CAI (if you can wait a couple months) will probably be $220 or so. Buy a bypass valve for $30 more and you're set. |

ehh..id wait a lil while to save $100 or so..
i have a buddy that works at aem.. that make some pretty good intakes..ill ask about the progress on those..(he works in R&D) there will be intake companies pouring in for sure..one of the most common mods anyone can make. |

Give it some time.. All the major intake guys are testing & building now for the Yaris... Once they all get released, the prices are sure to come down a bit, and be competitive.

Wouldn't be too surprised.. it happends a LOT in the industry.
Take for example the new FRAM Boost intakes... they are renamed, recolored AEM products, made for FRAM. Even the instructions are the same, with the AEM logo's blacked out. FRAM just uses their filter, and rebrands the entire intake as their own. So if they are paying AEM for the intakes to rebadge, Im guessing Toyota could/would do the same thing. |
