I plan on putting one in. There is a structural cross brace (at least on 5 door models) right accross the roof between the doors which may need to be moved, maybe not... cant imagine it would help flex by taking it out.

I don't think a moon roof would hurt the structural integrity of the Yaris. afterall, Aveo's have them, and they are Chevy.... :-)

i wonder if they could put in a tilt sunroof.
they're usually cheaper
and then u dont have to worry about the roof line.

I have a moonroof installed on my Yaris Sedan and it looks great! No problems. Haven't been able to take pics yet because of all the snow and ice here in Iowa lately but I will post some eventually.

I love that !!!

I love that moonroof!! Was it hard to install ? How did you cut out the roof? Also is it powr-operated or a manual opening ? Also will Toyota dealerships do this ?

Yes it was kind of hard. I rented power shears to cut the hole - you have to cut to about 1/16" tolerence. It's powered. About half the job was relocating the dome light.

Dealerships have shops they work with or you can go direct to one yourself. Get referrals.
