(vehicle speed sensor) and tachometer connections. I spent over 16 hrs trying without success.I was researching online and was not able to find.
Please if someone knows this info, it would be greatly appreciated!
here is the manual instruction enclosed:

Also, I have one more question: Do I need to install additional vacuum canister in order to get this thing working?
Thank you for reading and help!

Welcome. If you can't find someone who has a copy of the electrical wiring diagrams for the 2001 Echo, I highly recommend a two day subscription to Toyota's TIS. The two day subscription is $15 and gives you full access to all technical documents and EWDs.

I ran into the following for the 2001 Echo:

VSS Wire: 18 PIN CONNECTOR POSITION 3 (under dash)
VSS Wire Color: VIOLET/WHITE

Tach Wire: LOCATION 7- DIAGNOSTIC CONNECTOR AT BOTTOM OF DASH BOTTOM ROW FAR LEFT OF CONNECTOR
Tach Signal Wire Color: BLACK

Hello everyone,
Bought my Yaris 2 1/2 weeks ago and found this site and love it. The car will eventually be driven by my fiancee. I have already upgraded the stereo, added new rims, rear hatch spoiler and armrest. Am greatful for everyone that posts their how-to's - saved a lot of time figuring out how to take door panels and dash apart.

Hi Everybody...
We just got a 2 door hatchback. Only the second day so we are still walking on air and enjoying making all those discoveries of things we didn't know about our wonderful Yaris.
The car reviews seemed to favor the Honda Fit, but the Yaris is a much better fit for us. We love the looks, the economy, the thoughtful design, and most of all... it's so fun to drive.

Can anybody tell me where to find some sliders and crinkle fries?

kidding aside, I'm glad I got my "escape pod" or as it's been affectionately described, my "caja de zapato."

3 door shoe box.

Hello everyone

Hello from the Yaristocrat, here in the Deep South of the USA. I bought my 2009 Bayou Blue 3-door liftback 2 weeks ago and I've been lurking here on the forums ever since. I'm looking forward to joining in on the Yarii discussions and meeting some new folks!
