Trying to make a Yaris liftback uncute by making it look "tough" will fail epically. It will be something like this:

When I 1st got mine. My friends father said it was cute. I didn't appreciate that too much but have realized that the car is cute and that is not a bad thing. All liftbacks are cute, no matter what you do to them. I've owned like 15 different cars in my life and have gotten compliments on this one and not the others. I've had many random girls wave at me from the side of the road & from other cars. Another strange thing Ive found is that homeless people seem to really like it as well. I use to go to the 7-11 near my last residence and the same homeless guy would always praise the car.

I've also had some one pull up next to me when I had my 350 pound and 220 pound brothers in the car. This must have looked strange, with the df210s almost fully compressed. He asked me where the rest of the car was. I should have said its at the gas station, but just laughed.

I can't wait till my engine build w/ the Rotrex SC is done (hopefully by the new year, if my mechanic gets his ass in gear) and I dust someone in a sports car. I bet they won't think the cars cute. Their girlfriend might think its cute though, lol.

I've been totally enamored by the Yaris. That's of course why I bought one. When I initially was looking for a new car, the Yaris caught my eye and I've obsessed over it ever since. I have never gone this in depth modding a car and see no end in sight. This is not good for my wallet but one only lives once. I do like the concept of a fuel efficient performance car (comparative speaking). Maybe a competitive fuel efficiency/drag time sport could be created. 25MPG vs. 6MPG 13 second quarter mile for instance. With the hybrids even better MPG could be achieved & I'm sure those electric motors could be souped up as well, even though they are already have lots of torque. I would love to see a Prius faster than a GTO on the track. Imagine how many heads that would turn.

Hatchbacks still aren't culturally desirable here. That's why we don't have a wide range offered here.

CUTE is both good and bad. It means it's attractive but also that it's small and cheap. A chick won't say a Mercedes or Bimmer is cute, ever. It has a perceived status that makes it a "serious" vehicle.

If you are an older Yaris driver, like myself, it is the kiss of death to a lot of women. It represents being poor or being a kid or, in my case, BOTH!

Had our Christmas party for work the other night, and when one of my co-workers came in she mentioned walking past my car. She said it's so cute she just wants to hug it every time she sees it.

Never had anyone want to hug my car before?!?!!

lol! hey dont be sad! Besides my hubbys you have my favorite sedan!!! the eyelids do take away some of the "cuteness" and when i say its cute thats a good thing becuz it means i like it Today when i was getting off of work I walked up to the car and lifted the hatch to put my coat in the back. When I lowered the hatch the guy in the RAM next to me had gotten out and he said" hey, why do you drive that gas guzzler?" i felt like saying it usually gets me 40mpg you smartass. i just smiled at him and he said "oh im just kidding." we will ALWAYS get comments.

lol. I'd have to say ive gotten a few 'cute' comments about my 3dr & even tho I'm a girl myself (at least i was the last time i checked lol) it can be very annoying at times.
