Original owner. Only really paid attention to it because the wire was hanging down and touching my leg.

Looks like a dealer installed alarm port....they put them in, and if you choose not to pay for them, a portion gets left behind.

Are the red and green wires running down the carpet something you did or something that came with the car? That device does look to be part of an alarm/remote start system.
