You should call toyota and complain. There is no reason for bad customer service these days. Customers pay the bills, and if they don't realize it you should let Toyota know because it affects them too.

;) Toyota got a 3 page letter from my hubby about all the trouble we got .. they sent a note back saying sorry but glad you got the car anyway lol .. the problem is in my area i guess they cant get the cars in the first place so they arent stocking the extras, I think the can be ordered, but I can just do that on my own and try to find better prices like on TRD sparks lol ..

I am sooooo over complaining about this car lol I love the car just hate dealership lol

"If the dealership does not address your concern to tyoru satisfaction, call the Toyota Customer Experience Center at (800)331-4331. If you are hearing or speech impaired call (800)443-4999 (TDD)."

I have already started to file a complaint over the lack of ability to order WHAT I WANTED (5 speed with power package and foglights). Plus, I am looking into a class-action lawsuit over the convenience package scam that Toyota has been pulling . Seriously, though, call the number and file a complaint.

basically, Toyota advertised a price of $10,950 (plus $615+- for delivery on MSRP, I remind you...) to FALSELY UNDERCUT the Chevy Aveo, Kia Rio, and Hyundai "blank", the Chevy Aveo being the main price competitor (since it was the second lowest and would've been first if not for Toyota's lie). And in the world of econo cars, it's all about who has the "right" to say they have the CHEAPEST econo car for sale. The "false" part comes in that Toyota doesn't even offer a base model Yaris Liftback (manual..being the cheapest..the $10,950+Delivery=MSRP). YOU CAN NOT EVEN ORDER ONE!!! i tried from 22 dealerships which all told me the same thing : Toyota will not take your special order for a base model (foglights were not important, but I did ask for the option if possible and as long as it wasn't a deal breaker). If you get a manual, you must ATLEAST get the convenience package..they dON"t EVEN COME OUT OF THE FACTORY WITHOUT THE REAR WIPER / DEFOGGER AND CD/MP3!!!! the rear wiper is in the sheet metal of the rear door..and would require a different panel..which is not impossible, but highly unlikely that Toyota did this in advance.
Worse than that, I couldn't just order a Power Package on the manual, neither!!! this would solve the problem above, since i would be getting the same rear wiper (in the sheetmetal) and MP3 player..in essence it's just a Convenience + Power options package (or Base model + Power Package if you see it from my perspective ). Not a single dealership would take a special order for one of these , neither.. unless ofcourse i wanted the Automatic transmission then it was NO PROBLEM! (WTF?)
So..i had to spend the $690 (i can't remember the exact right now and too lazy to get my window sticker for reference) for the "optional" convenience package..but i couldn't just upgrade to the power package which is only $600 more, has the same package parts from the convenience package, and upgrades to PW, PL, PM, sweet rear seat, alloy wheels instead of steelies!!

Anyway, it's way more complicated than this, and is not really class-action'able..i'm just bitter
I just want to bring it to everyone's attention that even a company like Toyota will play games to "position themselves onto the market"..

Question. How does the window visors effect the ability to roll up the window in a manual window model. There doesn't seem to be much of a gap in the window track.

I see some "JDM whores" in the making
This is how it starts..cool JDM horns, lights, and air fresheners. Next, it's Vertex Bodykits and Volk wheels, soon a tattoo of Tarzan Yamada on your butt cheek

<looks over shoulder>

I don't see a tattoo of that nature on my ass in the future nor any "fresh" scent apparatus....

I do find it funny tho that they have an air freshener like that for the car.

VentShades for liftback.

Finally got a minute to take/post a picture for you.
Installed them this past weekend.
Takes about a total of five minutes.
You have to keep the windows closed for 12 hours after install so they can seat properly.
One poster had a concern with problems rolling the windows up.
Once the VentShade has seated in the windo channel, there is a no resistance. The edge/flange that fits into the channel is super thin so care must be taken when installing.
Tension is mainly what holds them in, very tightly I might add.
They cannot be removed when the windows are closed so, they won't get stolen. . . . .

No, the window slips in, right up along side of it. The Ventshade is pressed against the outside of the window channel.
