Yeah, it's chara designer was Katsuhiro Otomo. It's really popular in Japan. Not sure how it's doing in America. The American release received an HD-DVD/DVD Twin disc format which is nice! The Japanese only received a regular DVD release. Though the HD version is being sold here as an import from the American market!

This show is interesting because it originally started as a commercial for Nissin Foods. More commonly known as the "Cup O Noodle" company.

This one is pretty cool.. my cousin made me watch this series and i just loved the kid's ingenuity.

Another series that I recently finished is Fruits Basket. It's pretty good too but it was only 26 episodes.

I am waiting for the next season of Suzumiya Haruhi No Yuutsu. I love the songs

Hmm.. what else? When it comes to manga, I would say DNAngel & Bleach

I could never really get into it, with the exception of some.
Anyone ever seen Voices of a Distant Star?

I was really enjoying Claymore until the last couple of episodes... kinda disappointing, but it was still a great anime. Here's hoping for season 2!

Is it good? I saw something by the same director once, a short about a girl and her cat...

If you liked it, you'll probally like come other things Yoko Kanno composed for:
The Vision of Escaflowne (fave anime of all time)
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
Rhaxepheon
Honey and Clover (never seen this one)

Stuff I'm watching right now:
Bleach, Claymore (just started a few weeks ago, watched ep 11 last night), occsional new Naruto, but I'm 12 weeks behind in that. Gatchaman - I've been watching it for a couple years, on ep ~80, its hard to watch sometimes cause its so repetative lol, but its good to watch.

The only Manga I'm reading is Naruto.

But my favorite Anime right now would be Escaflowne. Pacing is awesome, plot is good, VA is good. Back in 2000 when I first watched it, I watched the entire series in 4 weekdays after work... Eva and Bebop are close seconds. And there is a large number in 3rd place lol

Yeah GITS is one of my all time faves.

I've never seen Escaflowne! But if Sunrise Animation produced it too (they did Bebop, Witch Hunter, Gundam series, Yakitate, Planetes, tons of others) we might ALL like it!
