Mini (hopefully Hybrid)
Mustang
or Atom.
Depends on situation of which car I'll choose. Will keep the Yaris for atleast a decade.

I have a 69 Camaro SS given to me when I turned 16. When I'm out of school and have a solid job the Yaris will be gone and I'll be getting a new Camaro to match. Also I'd liked to pick up a used SS Trailblazer for the winter season and for utility.

I do not plan on letting go of my Yaris. I bought it "for the duration". Now if my life circumstances should change, like I acquire a partner who has children of her own, or I start a business and it takes off and I need a car to impress customers, I might acquire something else in addition to my Yaris.

If my Yaris should be destroyed somehow, and I survive, I will definitely purchase another Toyota. Probably another Yaris or something along those lines.

Absolutely. A Yaris is simply too useful of a car not to keep.

If I wanted to buy Excitement I'd get a used 1970s era car, probably a GM, modify the drive train, enhance it with 21st century control systems, and create a suicide machine. I would love to do so but I have other plans, Grad School and work. Making Suicide Machines is not a high priority for me.

Still, it would be fun to do it....

Kind of a different thing. I'm gonna keep the yaris till its just quits and then drop a 426 HEMI in my old Jeep Comanche. If you dont know what a Comanche is...

But mine is black and doesnt say sport truck. Not sure if I'm gonna go with a blower yet or not, but it will be street legal.

And yes I'm serious. edit: BTW I am going to college to certified to build any and every kind of car ever. I'm going to the only certified NASCAR school in the world.

Keep the Yaris for 5-6yrs but my 01 Echo needs to be traded and top of the shortlist is
a MINI Cooper S,
also on that list is a C6 Corvette,
a big Chevy pickup for camping purposes,
a Subaru Impreza WRX,
or maybe a HB Yaris.
The list changes frequently but will be finalized by spring.

If audi brings the A1 to the US then I'll definitely keep it as a possible replacement for the yaris, besides that, we'll see what cars are in the market in about 5-6 years.

I don't plan on getting rid of the Yaris for a long time.

However, when our 1998 Civic dies or we get rid of it, I'll be looking at:

Suzuki SX4
Ford Fiesta
Another Yaris
Possibly a Corolla

The SX4 is at the top of the list because I'd love to get an AWD vehicle for when we go skiing in the mountains. However, a stellar deal on other vehicles might prevent that.

I just drove a 2009 WRX wagon. God I want it, but $28K prevents me...

If I have the money then I might get an old used military humvee. It would be a good SHTF truck cause of the bulletproof doors and windows. Either that or another Wrangler as stated previously.

Damn it ya did it again, lol. I've got some good contacts on the Military HUMVEE's when you're looking. Plus the Urban Gorilla tops and panels fit perfect on them so you can save some money.

On topic -- I'd even try to grab an old 280Z

That's cool on the military hook up. All the ones I was looking at were like 50K for one that was beat to hell and as old as I am. Do you know about how much you could get one for?

I'm keeping the Yaris until it either rusts to pieces or I wrap it around a tree

As for a next car, well... probably a Yaris sedan Wanna do it up mini-VIP style...

But I gotta say I find the new 370Z to be a very very attractive car, great bang for the buck, but with our import taxes here, I'd never afford one unless I moved somewhere else...

Sadly this is already being put into production sometime by Pontiac, as the "ST" (Sport Truck), boasting about 340-ish HP...capable of towing 3,500 lbs.

On topic:
Also considering a Sting-ray Vette...

I'd probably get a fun little car like a 3rd gen MR2, and/or a moped. And I'll definitely be keeping the Yaris.
