Global warming exists. You have to look at the overall trend. This cold-snap is what you'd probably call "an outlier".

Anyhow... that's colder than Ottawa's been... we're only hitting -30C each night.

doc zaius is right

as for turning up the heat in the house? well, the mudroom area is above an unheathed cold room....so it always reads colder there....

but i set the house at 15C regularly....stays a bit warmer than that....but electric heat ain't cheap! bill last month was $360 for hydro

I once skied at Alta Utah when it was -40f. It didn't matter what I wore that day, I froze and got a nip of frostbite on mt toes.

Yep, global warming does exist. It might be cold now, but wait until next week when temperatures are back up to -1C. I've only lived in Saint John for one and a half winters, but when it snows one day, then rains the next, it's a global warming thing.

Yeah, IMO, once it hits -20C, I can't really tell the difference anymore. It could be -40 or -20, I can't tell...all I know is that it's freggin' cold.

once youre into the high -20's i notice a big diff....makes your throat feel scratchy when you breathe thru your mouth. everything is stiff....snow gets crunchier.....jacket gets hard/stiff....my beard freezes super quick (from my breath) and my ear lobes (which stick below my touque) get real cold real quick

ouch , that's cold . Other theory is more clouds due to pollution could lead to colder temps. I think that's what I read . Just go with the flow .

It was 18F on my porch at 6:45am this morning. That is really cold for here. Tonight they are calling for 8F. I have never seen it this cold here. I think they say it will break a 40 year record if it gets that cold tonight.

Of course I know it doesn't compare to those -20 and worse, but this is the South. We ain't suppose to have to deal with single digit temps!

I've had them for a little while now. Around the same time I got the cf lip and coil overs.
