Blowing some money on my Yaris

I'm a Marine and I recently reenlisted. I will be gettting a sizable bonus and I've decided to dedicate about $3500 to upgrading random cosmetic crap on my car. I know absolutely nothing about upgrading cars, whatsoever. Any ideas what I could do with $3500? I'm all about ridiculous over the top stuff.

OOOOooOOh my... WHere do we begin?!

First suspension. Can go with coilovers, or drop springs with new shocks/struts..
Coilovers are more expensive and give you the option to adjuct height. Most people go with the drop springs. Way cheaper.

Get some nice wheels and tires.

Axle back exhaust, cat back, or nitto mid pipe.

NST pulleys, short shifter, cable/cage bushings.

Clazzio leather seat covers.

Air intake

dsjdklsljsdklasdkl too much to list!!!

go here http://shop.microimageonline.com/main.sc

Click here and check out other member's rides. See what you like and see what they are using. That'll give you a good idea too! Some users have the option to View their garage. People list what they are using..

i recommend trd springs/shocks/struts(combined 600 from trdsparks)
installation will cost about 500-600(dealer price)(looks better for warranty, but optional, you can let someone else do it)

tanable front strut bar $110(easy install)
Trd Exhaust 330(easy install)
Trd CAI 300(easy install)(would remove if bring to dealer for warranty service)
rear sway bar(150)(med install)

there is also a lighter crank? pulley but i wouldn't install it unless pass warranty. it's consider an engine mod, that some dealerships won't be pleased when warranty time.

OR

if you living on the edge.......get Blitz Supercharger! (i'm sure warranty won't cover)

Thank you for your fast response. I suppose I should be more precise. I am straight up car RETARDED. Very sad that a 23 year old man knows so little but my car knowledge extends to changing oil tires and brakes and that's it.

So if you can, break all these terms down barney style for me while I learn what it all means?

Look here Devil,
Your going get some friggen' dag-gone lightweight konig heliums with some 205/50/15 falken azenis tires and what-not. Some of dem reclining racing seats, a whatchamacallit exhaust,an intake, front strut bar, rear sway bar,a thai spoiler, fog light, lightweight pullys, some tein springs and some tokico shocks. Use the rest towards leave and libo, as well as try to pay off the car.Good to go?

Well...... getting drop springs will make your car lower. However, over time, if you don't change your struts and shocks, those will be shot eventually. So we are suggesting if you want to lower your car, to get drop springs, new struts, and new shocks. However, you can just get drop springs now and change your shocks/struts in a year or two.

An axleback exhaust goes from your back axle to the rear bumper. It's a short exhaust setup. Maybe gives you 1hp and is mostly for looks and sound. A cat back setup changes your entire exhaust but don't get anything too big because you could end up losing power. I wouldn't suggest a catback unless you are running a super charger or turbo. Then get a 2.25" exhaust setup.

A CAI ( Cold Air Intake) or short raim intake replaces your stock air filter/box. It gives a nice roaring sound and sucks in more air. You must know what those are. You know, everyone says "Get a K&N intake." Atleast everyone I know says that...

I mean, what do you need to be explained?

Visit this link. It's the yaris performance primer. Tells you a lot about parts you can put on your yaris...

Where in California?

Shop my store, if you spend some dough I'll give you some great incentives. I even have body kits if you really want to go nuts.

Here is what I would do...

Foglights
rear hatch spoiler
DF210 springs
NST short shifter (engine bay)
TWM Abrams shift knob

...keep it simple and clean while putting nearly $3K in the bank.

Whoah whoah! Why the harsh words? Devil? LOL. marlondog, I put $8900 down when I bought it, and have almost finished paying it off. I'm not a big fan of having debt. By the time I finish my new MOS school I will have it paid off.

I am mostly looking for cosmetic alterations, but I'm open to quite a bit. I suppose I should give some ideas what I'm looking for. I'm really all for making the car look ridiculous... well... ridiculously awesome.

Some things I was tossing around:
two tone (candy) paint
undercarriage lights
body kit of some sort
possibly vertical lift kit
and a decent speaker set

i'd love some input on these sort of things. AS well as ideas for interior cosmetic changes.

Honestly, if you go meet with (or call) Cali Yaris, he will be able to hook you up with almost anything you'd ever want, at an awesome price.

I'm all the way across the country and I've purchased almost all of my parts from him. Excellent vendor.

If I were you I'd grab a body kit and get it installed and painted professionally any color you like. That should suck up that bankroll pretty quickly.

Question

with $3500 why dont you just step up into a Corolla or Matrix XRS, or a Scion XB/tC or something?

This is somewhat in response to the fact that I'm a combat decorated veteran and my car seems to scream in the face of this. Most of my peers get big powerful cars and trucks, and they make fun of me for my car. I embrace it, because my car is perfect for me and my daughter and I'm not paying at the pumps. So this is somewhat my response to the jokes that I have a 'bitch' car.

Mr. Cali Yaris, whereabouts are you? When I get my bonus I will actually be in North Carolina, but I'd love to know what I can order through you. I appreciate all of your quick responses and helpful ideas.
