Springs v.s. Suspension
I have heard that lowering a car can damage your suspension unless you change the shocks and what not over as well. I have put some tanabe df without changing out shocks, how horrible would I ruin my suspension? and how long would it take to ruin it?

It won't "ruin" your suspension. There are quite a few people on here running springs with stock shocks/struts. From Tanabe's website:

Lowering spring may make the shocks wear a little faster than stock springs but it won't "ruin" your suspension, and they will still last almost as long if not just as long.

But once they do wear out upgrading to performace shocks/struts will make your ride handle better

Rule of thumb is, if your springs go stiffer, so should your struts.
