Whats the difference?

Hello everyone,

I am new to this as you will soon find out. I want to put on some new tires and rims and I also want to lower it. Tire size I want are 195/55/R15 and the rim size is 15x6.5 with +38 offset (I got all those sizes from various threads on this site). Now I have absolutley no idea about what is needed to get the car lowered. I see alot of people refering to coilovers, springs and suspension.

What is the difference and is that all I need?

Any help would go a long way

Thanks.
