Yes, the red one. Mine looked like the locks could only go one direction, but the seller of my kit reassured me that it can be hooked up the inversely.

Do you mind disconnecting the red cable, and showing us how both ends look? Don't really have to since your cousin will be helping you out, I'm just curious.

OMFG u were right....that click is wrong....i figured it out.....

picture 1 is what it is designed to be but is WRONG!!

Sweet, no problem about the help. I had an extra problem of the low beams turning on only when the high beam was turned on, but that was fixed with the prong switch.
