the drinks are capped but if the drink is too full it will come out of the hole in the lid. Odd that i seem to be the only one with this problemnobody drinks coffee out there and had the coffee spill when opening the plastic lid? Welcome to the club Ceily

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Not to offend 'ceily' but sometimes you have to wonder about some of the questions...ya just cant make them up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess you did not have an opportunity to truly explore this little car so when you pick it up, enjoy you new car.

Ceily, you will find that this little car has many wonderful traits and one of them is the number of built in cup holders, whether they work for you or not, you will discover soon enough.

My far left drink holder regularly has coffee dried in/on it.
Acceleration happy MT Yaris + full coffee = coffee shooting straight up out of the holes in the lid + loud cussing. I learned my lesson: drink it down an inch before taking off I've also had the bladder buster 44oz. cups try to tip over and fall out, so i use the one in the center for those...

I saw a suggestion on another car forum that made me think, "why didn't I think of that":

A roll of duct tape.

When you think about it, the idea makes sense. As long as the inner diameter of the roll works, the "cupholder" won't slide (at least on the floormat). Just passing the idea along...

I'm a huge coffee drinker, especially on my commute to work. Since I use a coffee cup that has a handy dandy closing top, I expect the cup holder in the Yaris will be perfect for me. We'll see tomorrow. I can't wait for my first commute (I don't exactly say that too often although I find the commute to be relaxing).
