It needs something...........but what?

I need to upgrade, but I don't know what to get. What I got so far is in my sig. My oridgnal plan was to get the TRD(AEM) CAI next but $350 from the part dept. a lil on the yikes! side, but I will have it in a couple days. Keep in mind that it is a year-round DD and a show car. I want something that's easy to install/dose'nt take long to install. I'm kinda leaning toward the TRD intake(to match the rest of the upgrades) but then again I like the sounds of the WR secret intake. Is there any decent/cheap front strut bars or towers(is the a differance btw?), I was gonna get the TRD one of that............until they quite offering them. Possibly a sponsor help a guy out??

$350 for a Yaris CAI is crazy!

Get the AFE CAI. It will cost you half the price of the TRD one... and it looks great on the engine bay if good looks is important for you. You will gate the same power gain and sound than in any of the other expensive units.

You can also look into an axle back or at least a nice looking muffler tip.

Ditch the strut tower bar and get your self some lowering springs or an underdrive crank pulley. A rear sway bar is another good upgrade if you want to improve the handling of the car.

Get all Ultra Racing braces because they are CHEAP and they work pretty decently tightening the chassis up.

Umm if you look at my sig/garage you'll see that I already got the TRD axle-back and sway bar

They help making the engine bay look nicer and adding death weight. But no particular performance improvement comes from a strut bar ON A YARIS.

Then get some Tanabe springs or the NST underdrive pulley!!

A NSt SSK will be a great compliment to your knob and will improve the shift feeling greatly. And it takes like 2 minutes to install..

Dude, get a Fujita CAI. You will NOT be disappointed in it. Plus, it uses an oil-free filter, which means less hassle when you clean the filter!

You should definitely consider a set of NST pulleys...

The Crank Pulley will provide you with excellent performance gains and will even provide you with better gas mileage.

The Alternator and Water Pump pulleys will provide you with further performance, gas mileage, and are visible enough to provide you with extra bonus points at car shows and meets!

Good luck and have fun with all your projects!!!

I've been thinking about a set for awhile also. Is there a set with the 10% underdrive??

sell the trd drop in filter and recharge kit on here, it would go fast with the right price, then you have a little more to put towards the CAI...

UPDATE!!! I've made up my mind NOT to go TRD with my stuff now.....too expensive/"over-the-counter"-ish for my taste. I've just pm'ed Garm(I'll just pick that name up now) to see what he can do for me. The oridgnal idea was to go with kargoboy....but he's no longer in business

TRD makes some nice stuff, but when you can get a cheaper alternative that is everybit as good if not better... it makes sense to explore the options.

I know I mean my axle-back and sway-bar is great but 350 for a CAI that looks butt-ugly and I could prolly get a lot more for my $$ if I go to the sponsers, rather than the part dept guys

UPDATE!!!!!

after talk with Garm, for about the same price they want for the TRD CAI he can hook me up with a intake and springs, shipped even. But I did manage to satify the tuner in me for a while I think I picked up an Autometer Ecometer from JEGS today. LOVE IT!!!
