I think the why was answered when the guy indicated the owner could only drive it for 10 minutes before it broke down. An exaggeration I'm sure, but the car was clearly a piece of junk. Yes, Maserati like Jaguar are very expensive cars to maintain and don't really live up to the expense of buying or owning one.

yeah but someone who is a maserati enthusiast/fan would of probaly welcomed the challenge of restoring it. If you don't advertise the car correctly. Noone can buy it

Seconded, YH; they are trying to install the same program up here, but it just ain't gonna work, most of us NEED those older cars! Besides, no one is going to get my Volvo 245, it is too handy, too easy to repair on my own, and gets reasonable fuel mileage.... Maybe that is why they don't want it on the road: it doesn't fit into the sausage-like stream of cars out there!
