has anyone negotiated TFS interest rates down?

my interest rate from when i purchased the car was like 8.6% or something We are starting to get back on our feet from the layoff but anything helps.. think they would lower the interest rate on the loan?

I severely doubt it, I bought my card 3 yrs ago and got 8.95 % from the dealer and wasn't happy then, they pretty much told me to pound sand and I doubt they have gotten any better. While I'm glad I bought a toyota for other reasons, I've always had the feeling they were "oh you already purchased your vehicle, well then I don't really care unless your buying another one"

Well the local dealer at the time. I haven't tried thru TFS since then. I didn't like how I was treated at the dealer and kind of just left it at that but try TFS ya never know, maybe keeping current customers happy means more to them...

Don't go to Toyota first. See if you can get another company to give you a better rate, then go to Toyota and tell them that you found a better rate.

I went to my local credit union and refinaced my loan to i thikn 4.9. They sent toyota a payoff check and now they are my new lender. I would give that a shot and see how much you can save.

Don't bluff. They can look up your credit score. They'll be laughing if you can't leave.

This reminds me of an old song...

You gotta know when to hold 'em,
Know when to fold 'em,
Know when to walk away,
And know when to run.

Or something like that at least. :) Good luck with your search and I hope you can get a lower interest rate. That gives me hope of lowering my 17.99% interest rate that I've got on my Yaris right now.

S.R.
