Bought me a new Yaris! - Toyota Yaris Forums

Finally! The insurance company finally paid off my old Yaris and I found an exact replacement (only took 3 weeks). As crazy as it sounds, I have to fly to Kansas City to get my Yaris (I live in Jackson Hole, WY). I could not find a loaded Carmine red hatchback with a 5-speed anywhere near me to save my life. They were either automatics or only had the convenience package (I wanted the power package and cruise).

It was a little weird buying a car sight unseen over the phone, but that's what I did today. I fly out tomorrow morning and will be driving it home over the weekend. My sister lives outside KC, so I'll be driving to her house and plan on putting some miles on it before I hit the highway. It won't be a perfect break-in, but anything will be better than nothing.

I'll post pics as soon as I get home, but here's a pic of what I am replacing (for those of you who haven't seen it):

Thanks. If I crash into another guard rail on the way home then I think I'm done with new cars forever!
