Need Feedback on this subwoofer.
Looking for a really easy set up without adding too much weight and without loosing trunk space. Found this powered subwoofer on Amazon. It's amp'd up already just would need to wire it and thinking of placing it under the passenger seat. Any thing wrong with it? Is it a good idea to get this model. Feedback Please Thanks!

For its application and price i think its a good deal. Comes with everything you need for roughly 100 bucks you cant beat that. And all the 17 reviews about it seem good and they are all purchasing it for the same reason you are.

generally, boss is best stayed away from. I wouldn't mind playing around with one of those, but would never recommend it unless I got my hands on one.

Yeah... I remember Boss making cheap knock-off amps and crap speakers. I used to buy them for cheap at swap meets to make noise. Sight unseen (or unheard)? Not a chance.

the reviews seems to be not so bad... but I've never seen it so I cannot recommand it. I personnally own a Kenwood KSC SW10 and I personnally love it (it does not give windows rattling bass, but add a decent bass to the my system and really improved the sound of my system). If your goal is for your music to sound good the KSW SW10 is a good choice, but if you're looking to wake up the whole neighborhood this is definitly not the one you need...
Keep in mind that with these little powered subs (specially if its one using the "passive-radiator" technology like the SW10) you ABSOLUTELY need an aftermarket head-unit with a HPF (high-pass filter) or else it will sound horrible and you will want to cry cause you spend 200$ to have shitty bass (I was affraid at first when the setting were not adjusted) |
