I figure ill go for the biggest spacers available. And if anyone ever sells nice wheels for cheap out this way ill consider that. I'm still messing with the other flares cause I had filled them with great stuff, and its getting in the way. I'm started to get used to it, but they have a little gap at the back. I'll get more pics.

You plan on cutting the rear fenders? I didnt think about that since Garm just mentioned it.

Yes my point is that you aren't creating any room inside the edge of the flare. The stock fender edge will be sitting right there, an inch or so inside. So either the tire still has to be inside of the fender edge (and therefore not flush with the flare), or you have to leave enough clearance (ride height) so the tire doesn't touch the stock fender on bumps. That will look wonky.

The alternative to get the flush look I think you want is to trim the fender -- but cutting metal permanently is not for everyone; there is no going back.

Can I do 30mm spacers and still be in stock weld? Cutting metal is not for me, I learned that when I tried to drill for a spoiler.

Maximum spacing to achieve easily would be about 23mm with a combination of hub and wheel spacers. Getting long emough stud bolts into the hub for anything longer than 10mm wheel spacers pretty much requires disassembly of the hub. Regardless, you still have to deal with, or accept the issue of your fenders slamming down on top of the tires if you don't cut away the fender arches.

Yeppers.. I think this is the end of the road for your fender flare project. If you are not willing to cut your fenders for a flush look, its gonna look really goofy. like a 4x4 Jeep if you keep stock ride height... if you lower it any at all, you will be cut up your tires and your skin will crawl every time it happens.. ask me how I know..

So does that mean that everyone on this forum that has spacers either rubs or has cut away the fenders?

Most with anything more than a mild drop, with spacers 10mm or greater experience a rub with standard +42mm offset wheels. The rub experienced is the rear fender clearing the tread and making contact with the sidewall. If you are talking about 30mm spacers, then I'm guessing you would be looking at an effective offset somewhere around +10 to +15mm. The front is a whole other story since there is less outward movement to play with and rubbing will also occur during full left/right turns.

No -- but they aren't using flares. THEIR tires still tuck inside the stock fender. The flare brings the visual edge of your fender out 1-1.5". So if you still tuck inside the stock fender under there, you won't be near the edge of the flare. That won't, in my opinion, look very good.

Get it?

Man. I told you to put some screws in the bottom, guy. I am so sorry to hear about that happening. When I sold those to you, I wanted you to get a really good look at them. I had 10mm spacers in my rear wheels along with -5 camber plates and they sat just right in the rear when I test fit them, however, I just decided not to go with flares. That sucks that you lost one, tho. Your friends are definitely right about spacing your wheels. However, with Coilovers, if set right and not trying to slam them on the fenders when sitting still, you maybe could have avoided MUCH rubbing. Unfortunately with these flares, you could not get away with rolling the fenders. HOWEVER, I would NOT advise you to cut the fenders as that will take away from the strength and support that is meant for that panel of your car. You will make it alot weaker. Here is a best bet for you. If you are still into getting flares, go with the ones that screw into your fender. With the exposed bolts. YEs, they DO sell them in Carbon Fiber. No, it will NOT look wack if done RIGHT. Honestly, if you are not afraid of it, get a fiberglass shop in our local area to custom make you some flares. Wouldn't hurt. May cost a bit, but you wil get EXACTLY what you desired. My personal opinion, slam the crap out of your Yaris, boss. Forget flares. Do like I did. Seriously. -Dame

Its a bit different to slam a Yaris then it is an XB..... I could stance out a Bb in no time at all compared to a Yaris. They are totally different animals.

That isnt even slammed for a Bb... Check out BCPbox (Craig) or Dancar420 (Dan) I know both of them personally, thats how to stance a Bb, Craig has been helping me with my Yaris.

Trust me, its lower than that now. Ask Tickletim. I just put that one up for an example of sitting right above the fenders. Mine is now tucking on all four with negative camber all around and I am extremely careful with trying not to knock out my power steering belt all the time. LOL!!

And I know both the guys you speak of (not personally, but from other sites: CLubxB and bB Squad) and both have served a LOT as an inspiration for me and my B.
