friend of mine got one. He's a pretty die-hard iPhone fan and says this is the first Android phone he's tried that can compare in smoothness...

I have to admit the little tweaks Samsung put in are rather sweet!

I think it's funny that all the Android lovers and iPhone (iSheep haters) aren't jumping on this thread.

^ I think it's great. Haters go home.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm interested. I will say that my Galaxy S2 is easily the most useful and usable phone I've ever had.

I have nothing bad to say about the iPhone.

Nothing wrong with discussion. Just waiting for some to take place.

Since we don't get it, at least here, until June 21, there wouldn't be much to say about it quite yet.

[edit] Pre-order sold out?! I can't even order one yet. grrrrr....

Oh. I would have thought that the USA would have been one of the first places this phone would be released. My bad.

Nope...and the word is that there will be tweaks to it that will actually change it enough to reduce performance as opposed to overseas. It happened with the S II as well. One of them for example is the carriers here hamstring some functionality for one reason or another. Case in Point on my Samsung Charge (Verizon) they do not leave the DSP Audio Processor unlocked and it reduces the audio capabilities of the device greatly. The only option is to root the device and the Charge isn't part of the list of "easy" to root devices.

You are very much right, sir. The overseas version of the Galaxy Nexus was slimmer and better with Google Wallet enabling.

Verizon made the phone a bit more thicker (due to LTE antenna, load of B.S.) and Google Wallet blocked.

Verizon also messed up the HTC Incredible 4g LTE. I wonder what changes cosmetically will come to Verizon's version...

I think the Galaxy S II looks great! The Galaxy S II was/is an incredible phone. High quality pictures from the rest of the phones on the market, even up until now.

4.8 inch is too big for me at least. I cant wait to test out the new UI on it. I love Android 4.0.3 software.

Verizon customers already on the unlimited data plan have until June 27th to pre order the phone to keep their unlimited data...unless they buy this or any other phone for retail price...

When I heard they were dropping the quad core for dual core in the USA SIII, I bought an SII Skyrocket instead.

I prefer sense (htc) User interface or AOSP (stock android) Not big on touchwiz (samsung). It is supposed to be the big phone of the year. Gsmarena.com is where I usually get phone info.....

from what I understand it is some kind of compatibility problem with the LTE radio... so either you get a fast CPU or a fast connection... And seeing as for the moment, there's not really a lot of software that can really take advantage of all cores...
