First decide which design suits you better.
Cold air intake: (longer tube, filter in wheel well, harder to maintain, possibly somewhat colder air draw) Brands: TRD, AEM, Injen, Fujita, DC Sports Short ram: (shorter rube, filter in engine bay, easier to maintain, some come with an airbox to help separate) Brands: weaponR, AFE, K&N, and a couple more I can't think of

keep in mind CAI's are more susceptible to hydro lock. My buddies car had that happen to him.

hydro lock is rare you have to go through deep water to get the CAI on a Yaris saturated enough to hydro lock. but it is a risk if you drive through a lot of flooded roads.

In IL we have had some good storms and the only way to get to my house was through a flooded street. thats the only reason I wouldnt grab the CAI, however it all depends on where you live. honestly though, there wont be a huge difference between the SRI and CAI. both will give you similar gains

I would go with the AEM CAI...though the Injen has a good price...if you can fine these rare TRD cold air intake....take it...they have case over the filter...its good for winter and water :) thats my .02 cent :)

I have a K&N typhoon and have had zero issues with it. The installation instructions were very clear and it's a high quality piece. Sounds good at WOT, I couldnt tell any difference in the butt-dyno department.

There is also the Simota carbon box intake. Garm I've seen you post that the Simota only fits LB. Why is that and do you think fitting it on the sedan would be impossible or just difficult.

Simota carbon box only fits liftback. I have confirmation from a customer (not my own experience) that it simply won't fit. I MAY have a picture *somewhere* showing how it doesn't fit.

Headlights are much closer? I can't fit my hands to change the bulb at the driverside of a LB, but have plenty of room for the sedan.

At our local meet the other day we did compare engine bays and you can see the LB lamps extend further into the engine bay than on a sedan.

So the sedan has more space but doesn't fit? That can't be right... It's gotta be a different dimension...

Being a box, I'm thinking it was molded for the LB's space requirements along where it can bolt onto? Beats me. LOL
