Liftback power lock not working
I have a 2010 liftback with factory power locks, and i live in new york so there is lots of cold, road salt and crap that gets everywhere. So over the weekend, my liftback lock stopped working. All the other power locks work fine, and there is a clicking sound still coming from the liftback lock, but apparently nothing is happening inside because it is not locking. Can anyone help me with this? I dont want to go to the dealer until I have to.

Where in NY are you located?
The lock mechanism is shown below. When it is powered, the little plastic arm moves to flip a plastic arm on the back of the lock assembly, so one side or the other may have snapped if the lock was bound. Can you lock and unlock the hatch easily with the key?

If the key won't operate it, then it is internally bound or frozen. I would start with thawing it out with a hair dryer, and if that doesn't do it, then try spraying a little silicone lubricant into the lock and working it loose with the key.

The hairdryer trick worked! Thanks for the help. Its odd because one day was almost 40 and raining so I figured it would have thawed but I guess not. My wife wasnt too happy about me taking her hairdryer though. Thanks again
