Yea gearing was my problem yesterday, I did drive the first third of our course in first gear, then used second to the finish. If it hadn't been for left foot breaking, I would never have been able to maintain momentum through several sections of a tricky course layout!! Hoping to have pictures soon, didn't take any myself, just relied on others.

Yeah I wasn't going to stretch first that far. But after working the course for all of Group 1s runs and seeing 2/3s of the Driver doing it, I said what the heck! It actually worked and made for less shifting.....

Haven't posted here in a while. But just had an event last sunday and the results have been posted. Out of 80 drivers 7th overall PAX, 6th overall RAW. No big deal you say...
I had to run SMF class because I still couldn't get an oem hood in time. I could have ran TSMF but some peer pressure from a honda fit and EG civic hatch convinced me to run in their class for fun. This Fit usually runs STF but he got new Rcomp tires and is running SMF now. The EG has a B18C5 Swap and well prepped. Great guys, I enjoy hanging out with them. SO, with that said, I think SMF is looking good for me when I finally go turbo and get some good Rcomp tires. http://www.buccaneerregion.com/ce-6-13.html

Signed up to run this weekend with SCCA at Cape Fear Community College again. I've made a few more changes to the car since last event, namely Tokico HPs and TRD springs, can't wait to see the difference. Had planned other changes, but I'm holding off on making wholesale changes, and doing a few things between each Event. Here is the Event link from SCCA North Carolina Region.....

Had a great day finishing second, but way off the first place Mazda2. One issue could possibly be lack of proper alignment settings, my usual Shop was unable to get me in, machine was down. So I ran the car after just eyeballing and tape measuring a few things at home. I strongly believe my last run of the day would have been my best, but dumbass me found brake pedal not clutch heading into the last sweeper!
I'll post up some results and pictures from this event later. On a side not, we had a pretty big downpour right after the lunch break, and everyone had issues with their afternoon runs. Still don't know what to think of the Mazda2 and where it gets it's speed. http://www.ncrscca.com/sites/default...kwater_fin.htm racerb

Hmm.. name sounds familiar but I don't see a brian wright. Haven't seen his name pop up in the last few events. What was he driving and what class?

Saw this thread and figured I'd post a few videos of the "Bumble Rumble" in action. After the end of the year, we will be leaving STF (Like Derrick) to go SMF (R-Comps, Turbo, Aero, etc.) Should be a hell of a 2014 season for SMF. :-) Between the couple Civis, the Fit, and now two Yaris (or Yarises, or Yari), should be interesting.
Axis vs Allies last year http://youtu.be/qcE_iBUihbA First Event for 2013 http://youtu.be/hK7cG4URtZo Event 6 for 2013 http://youtu.be/xlxZVtFhY0Y I need to get the others online for the year. Just too many things going on.

Nice buck. I am actually still searching for a hood still. Will probably stay in STF as soon as I find and OEM hood. Thinking about another project for boost actually. I don't wanna mess with these crazy ass ECU's for tuning. Really expensive for something that I can do with a mid 90s for half the price. WE will see. Good luck Buck

Did anyone ever test out a larger front swaybar on their STF class Yaris? I know it was discussed, but never heard anyone say if they had actually installed one and tested it. I'm leaning toward adding this as one of my next STF mods, but wanted input before spending the cash!

personally, I don't see any reason to stiffin up the front any more than it already is. I have been searching for the smaller sway bar with a different color spray dot to swap with.

I am using Megan coil-overs and 23mm rear sway bar. I adjust my dampening on hard on all 4 corners. I use RS-3 225/50 on 15x7 rim. I put 40psi up front and 55psi in the back to get my rear to rotate better. Basically that's it.
