I think the mind tricks you somehow. But i keep getting 4100. Lol its funny when it said "Did you get 5000?" and im like "omg is that the answer?" then i read on and its 4100 :)

But i calculated that question in my head about 6 times and i still couldnt see how u get 5000.
yeah, i think that may be it. heh.

that's why i posted it in the off-topic section because this has nothing to do with the Yaris, but with everything else. why else have an off-topic section? i really don't care about my post count at all. seriously, it's not going to get me anything, so why bother with it. i post to reply to things or ask questions. as for these pointless tests, they're just to entertain anyone here who is bored.

Where did the extra dollar go?

i think all of the dollars are accounted for. the serv. manager gave each man a dollar, totaling to 3 bucks and kept two for himself, equaling the 5 bucks that should have been given back. so the men paid 28 dollars...at least this is how i see it.

Solution:
The problem is you are adding $2, when you should be subtracting. If the manager gives back $3, he is still overcharging by $2. Subtract $2, and you get $25, which is what the Yaris should have cost.
This is basically what Kaotic Lazagna said.

Well actually, you said the men paid $28, which they didn't... :p I could see what you were getting at though, just hard to explain.

I suppose the better way of looking at it is that they paid $27, $2 of which was to the service manager. NOT "they paid $27, plus $2 to the service manager".
