Another trip and saw just one Yaris

Montreal to Tampa and back and i saw one other Yaris on the whole trip, a blue sedan in St Pete. Quite amazing how few Yaris are out there.
Seems people prefer Chevy Aveos..

The only reason I see some (rare) yaris in my area, it's a college town. My yaris is driven by a student, too.

Speaking about rare cars, I'm still waiting to see a Tesla car in person. I saw Volt and Leaf only once.

I've even seen a tesla, dirty on salt during winter!

And i have to say that i guess it depends in the area. Went to Boston a couple years ago, and i've spotted at least 5 Yaris. Some of them were from other states though.

Yea, location matters. I see 3 or 4 of the same Yaris on a daily basis. Too bad they are driven all by older people. When I drove from FL back to MA I didn't see a Yaris the entire trip either.

Gee, Thanks...
Oh, wait, I'm only 53 this 4/9/2014, never mind

Take off the 14 years I drank, that brings it down to 39 (so they say) Take off another 15 years due to my 'sheltered life' ( so I say) and I'm 24 again!

That is quite a distance to travel and see only one Yaris, I would imagine it was a 'timing' thing. I've seen about 4 in a 20-25 mile radius of where I live, I remember 2 are 3rd Gens. and the other 2 were 2nd Gens. One of the 2nd Gens. was a 3 door absolutely red couple with those sweet stock alloys I would like to have...

I'm glad you only saw one Yaris in Pinellas County. I plan on spending more time there, and it sounds as though I won't have any trouble finding my Yaris in a parking lot....no 'Sea of Yari' .

I saw my first Tesla in Middletown, RI in October of 2013. I've seen a few here since then. I see a fair number of Volts and Leafs around here.

I've already seen a few 2014 Corvettes around here, 1st one about a month ago or so. Lots of rich older men flaunting their pensions here...
It's just not a Corvette if it doesn't have pop-up headlights...

Not possible. There is no way you can travel between Montreal and the Canada/US border (twice) and not see another one.

Gee, I think you young whippersnappers need to be a bit more respectful of your elders. I am 60, a daily Yaris driver and general car enthusiast.
Actually see a lot of Yaris here on a daily basis. A lot are also operated by businesses - Real Estate agents, Pathology deliverers etc.
regards from Aus

I see Yaris every day here in the metro Detroit area.
All kinds of different types driving them including one old geezer with a great
big grey mustache, I'd call him handsome (but then I might blush).
Where I work PT they have them as delivery vehicles.

not surprising. Toyota has never pushed the yaris and since the 2012 model have brought very few over here to sell. there are barely over 2200 yaris for sale in the whole usa. for comparisons sake, there are over 13,000 fiestas for sale and over 24,000 versa's. they are all about the corolla and camry.

That makes complete sense. If Toyota made a Yaris the size of a Ford Excursion, Jambo would have seen 100s of them...

I think it's mainly due to location. If you guys come to Northern Oregon, you'll see yarii and electric / hybrid vehicles everywhere. I see Tesla's on a daily basis.....probably because I work next to Intel. lol.
