Some Mofo Scratched My Car
after work on Saturday, i went out to my car and saw a scratch. A-hole didn't even leave an apologetic note...hard to see, but towards the middle of the pic.

will that work? the scratch can be felt and seems like it's at the bottom layers of paint.

Well, it -will- make a difference but it won't make it perfect. I say try it and then put some thick wax on.
Then strip the wax off and touch it up if you aren't happy with the McGuire's.

i don't have those power tools for wet sanding and buffing (i watched the pros do it on my car before, and don't think elbow grease will be able to do it).

I have never seen a pro wet sand with anything other than his hand.... and in that small of an area you rub that out with some rubbing coumpound in a few minutes, would not take long at all

it will not be perfect, but you'll actually have to know beforehand that a scratch was there in order to find it. give scratch-x a shot. i think its like $11. unless it was super-duper deep, you wont need touch up paint. just some good ol' elbow grease... --B

what's the definition of super-duper deep? this scratch is almost like the rock chips on my hood. does that fall under super-duper deep? i guess my arm will be dead for a day...heh.
