Trans slams at WOT
I have an odd problem with my Yaris. About 50% of the time, when I floor it, the trans will downshift, then it sounds like it hits a neutral condition, then slams back into gear, and will repeat this cycle until you let off the accelerator. Other than this, the car, motor, and trans all work as they normally should.
Is this a common issue on these? Anyone experience this, or hear of this happening, and any clue what the fix is? Drive by wire is a new animal to me. I am assuming it has something to do with the TPS, or whatever Toyota uses there. Any help is much appreciated! |
