I found a HUGE increase in gas mileage just by not driving in 3rd gear .. I now drive in 4th gear when possible and find that my mileage has improved. According to my ScanGauge I have been able to get up to 54 MPG (4.3 L/100 KM) just by doing this small change. However my ACTUAL gas mileage is more like 43 MPG (5.5 L/100 KM) when I fill up.
![]() I drive a standard shift .... so for automatics this isn't an issue. |
