Curved shifter?

Looking through old pictures, I realized something. You know what would improve the comfort level in my manual Yaris a lot? A curved shift lever like I used to have in my Scirocco:

That way I could still reach the shifter even with the seat slid all the way back. Has anybody ever done something like this? In my VW, this was factory stock for that particular model. Just being able to stretch my legs just a little bit more would improve the car by a lot!
