New EPA mileage standards

Wow, The EPA has revised the way they calculate gas mileage and it's pretty brutal (for some cars..) The Yaris drops from: (the automatic) 34 (city) and 39 (hi-way) to: 29 (city) and 35 (hi-way) Which sucks but is way more in line with the mileages I've seen posted here.. The real hit is from the Prius which goes from: 60 (city) and 51 (hi-way) to: 48 (city) and 45 (hiway) Thats gotta hurt the "green ego".. Turns out the Yaris is a waaaay better value in the MPG vs. cost department. -Peter
