Solve The Yaris Mystery!
My Yaris will be eight years old next April. For the first five years I kept the hubcaps on and the rust marks quickly developed where the vents holes were in the hubcaps. (see picture) I assumed that was because the metal was exposed to the elements. I also assumed the parts of the wheel that didint rust was because they were protected by the hubcaps.
When I left the caps off for good I figured oh well now the entire wheel will rust. But after three years that hasnt happened! Why?
