i'm not exactly sure how shocks work on the inside but i assume that decreasing the amount of space that the shock has to rebound from bumps and holes would wear them out sooner than if that space hadnt been decreased. excess heat will weaken the metal over time and i guess i can see how cold will fuck them up. i just didnt know the average lifespan of shocks.
