technically, everybody is letting somebody choose for them (electoral college)... and quite frankly, the founding fathers made the electoral college because they knew that everybody SHOULD have the right to vote, but that not everybody was educated/wise enough to vote. I think they were spot on!
So... I find it somewhat funny that there is such a big, "go out and vote, its your duty" push.... I mean... frankly, there are many people that I DO NOT want to vote.... because if you only think about politics once every four years, you are most likely not going to make a decision that has a positive impact on society.... or yourself for that matter.
So.. for the people who fit in that category... and most of which will not know who they are... I sure hope they don't vote.
this coming from a teacher with a social studies degree (those who are supposed to instill civic duty in your teenagers)
